Welcome, my friends
Welcome, my friends, to my new home. Well, not so much a new home as an addition to my house. A second story, if you will. Calling this my new home would imply that I’m moving out of my old one, which isn’t the case at all. Rather, this will be a supplement to Sushi Day.
As Sushi Day is the place where I write about the types of sushi I make, Fridgg will be my place for writing about everything but sushi. My diet and my life consist of so many foods aside from sushi, and it was very nearly driving me mad not to have a place to share them with you. Every time I bake, or make dinner for myself and Son, or go to a restaurant, I want to be able to share my recipes and experiences with you. I’m so excited that I finally can!
So come on in, kick off your shoes, and make yourself at home. I’ll be in the kitchen, where you’re welcome to join me, cooking all sorts of delicious goodies for you.
Be sure to subscribe to our RSS feed, so you don’t miss a single post!

Congrats on the new blog Allison!
I like the name, hard to believe that domain was still available π I’m not much of a cook, but I enjoy the delicious goodies and your gorgeous pictures. The place looks great, and I hope you have a lot of fun here.

Congrats on the new blog! Altho’ I recently added a supplement to my blog as well, w/coffeesister.COM (vs .NET), I see now I added but an attic.. ~_^ Tis a wee writing room, actually ^_^, yet I hungrily attest to the beauty of your second story. Tis ever so good to see Son more involved too. Now then, if I could only sort how to get your blogs to dispense their yummy food!?

Lodewijk – Thanks, Lode! We were surprised the domain was available as well, so we snapped it up quickly. I hope you stop by often!
Dorian – Thank you! Working on the dispensing food thing, but there’s not much time left for advancing technology after writing for both my blogs now, and trying to do *real* work on top of that. π

Oh wow!!!! What a great new blog home, congrats!!! It looks fantastic and now we’ll get to see all your other talents beyond sushi. Oh boy, what a treat. AND we get to see Son more often? yes?
Great job to the both of you! We’ll have to throw a blog warming party for ya….at our place soon? π
Allison 09/15/2008 at 02:56am
Thanks Diane and Todd! Son still won’t post much (I can’t even get him to post on his own blog!) but you’ll always know he ate and enjoyed the recipes I write about. π
I like that idea… π
*sigh* Someday we’ll get a house and be able to invite you two over!

Congratulations! It looks great! My mouth started watering the second I hit the page. I think you are on a mission that I keep running like a fiend so I can enjoy good food. π Your evil plan is working. π

Nate – Thank you. Just don’t cringe too much when you see Friday’s post. π
Kelly – I very nearly fell over seeing you here. π Welcome! The refrigerator was done by Fernando Albuquerque, and the text part of the logo and the rest of the website design were done by my boyfriend, Son.

Allison,
Why surprised? I don’t know from sushi, but I lurk now and again, just to see how it’s going for you. When I saw the new link in CommentLuv, of course I popped over to see what you’re up to.
Son did a nice fridgg. The type is what really holds my eye.
Until later,
Kelly

*shrugs* I suppose I’ve always seen you as out of my league? Silly, perhaps, but I’m always quite happily surprised when I see one of the MwP crew commenting on one of my blogs. π
Son will be very happy to hear you like his logo.
Kelly Erickson 09/18/2008 at 02:48pm
Allison,
Hehehe. Thanks so much.
If we have a sushi-making contest, you’ll be out of my league. Everybody’s got their own strengths.
I check in on most of the folks the Men review now and then. For one thing, I’m interested in your growth, and for another, I usually chime in, so I figure I owe folks a little interest beyond the first day I ever heard of them. Besides, you comment around and sometimes those titles in CommentLuv catch my eye!
Until later,
Kelly

Well thank you. π I appreciate it.
In that case, I’ll have to remember to make my titles more interesting from now on. π
